Frequently Asked Questions
The Everest Academy Annual Fund supports our school's mission to foster intellectual growth, human formation, spiritual development, and apostolic outreach. This yearly fundraising effort is designed to support the operational needs of the school, such as faculty and staff salaries, facility maintenance, and educational programs.
As with most Catholic, Christian, and private schools, tuition covers only a portion of the school’s operating budget. Each year, tuition and fees cover approximately 80% of the education cost per student. The remaining 20% comes from fundraising efforts. Because the Annual Fund helps to bridge the gap between the cost of tuition and the full expense of educating an Everest student, donations ensure that Everest continues to offer a comprehensive, faith-based education that prepares students to excel academically and become committed Christian leaders, eager to transform society.
Annual Fund gifts support every aspect of our school – academics, athletics, ministry, fine arts, facilities and scholarships. These funds help provide enrichment programs and the extras that tuition dollars do not cover and so have the most direct and immediate impact on our current students.
There’s no required amount. We ask each donor to prayerfully consider giving at a level that is personally significant to them. Your gift in any amount is greatly appreciated. Any donation, large or small, is appreciated and contributes to the school's overall mission.
If your employer has a gift-matching program, you can double or triple your support! A donor’s corporate matching gift is credited to the donor.
Parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends of the school are encouraged to participate in supporting the appeal.
Yes! Participation rates are often just as important as the amount raised. High participation shows strong community support, which can be a factor when applying for grants or other funding.
You may designate gifts for specific purposes; however, we encourage unrestricted donations because they allow flexibility in addressing the school’s most urgent needs.
The benefit of the Annual Fund drive is that, unlike tuition, the gift is tax-deductible. A tax receipt for gifts received will be provided by our Development Office.
To maximize the influence of our community’s generosity, we ask that you consider making your gift during the first half of the year, by December 31.
Early support of the Annual Fund allows Everest to efficiently allocate resources for our students.
