Love of Christ Scholarship Programs: One Spirit Working Together

St. John Paul the Great Scholarship

It is Jesus who stirs in you the desire to do something great with your lives, the will to follow an ideal, the refusal to allow yourselves to be ground down by mediocrity, the courage to commit yourselves humbly and patiently to improving yourselves and society, making the world more human and more fraternal. SAINT JOHN PAUL II

Choose Catholic Education

Catholic education goes beyond the standard institutional responsibilities of providing character and academic development. It also provides the apostolic  and spiritual formation needed to develop the whole person. Catholic school students are taught that excellence is a response to God’s blessings. They learn  to experience God’s grace and presence in their lives through their relationships with family, friends, and teachers. Helping others is an essential component  of Catholic curriculum. They commit to a lifelong journey with Jesus Christ  as their inspiration, their motivation, and their friend.

The public school system may do a fine job of providing the academics needed. They do not, however, provide the formation necessary to form well-rounded leaders who will transform society. This scholarship was created to help more students receive this formation.

Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Family Scholarship

We must know that we have been created for greater things, not just to be a number in the world, not just to go for diplomas and degrees, this work and that work. We have been created in order to love and to be loved.  BLESSED TERESA OF CALCUTTA

Love Thy Neighbor

Our faith in Christ is what brings full and proper meaning to missionary work. Evangelizing is an expression of our Catholic-Christian faith. We are called to put our faith into action and offer charitable efforts to spread the Word of God and expand his Kingdom. Blessed Teresa’s gentle way of calling people to do whatever they could to make a difference in other people’s lives is a way of connecting.   This connecting, making a difference in someone’s life to honor and share God’s love, must remain at the core of apostolic works.
The Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Family Scholarship celebrates the noble and indispensable work of families who are tirelessly committed to loving their neighbor. Much like Blessed Teresa, their faith manifests itself in their missionary work for the greater glory of God.

The recipients of this scholarship are continually playing their part in evangelizing to the world through their works.

St. Paul Scholarship

Consider this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have an abundance for very good work. ST. PAUL the APOSTLE

Building the Church

Today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders. Our churches need families, especially young families, to engage in their church and set their hearts on fire with their faith. The church was built on this commitment to evangelize and share the  Good News. As St. Paul showed us, one’s zeal for Christ attracts the masses and converts many hearts. The church must reach the young people of today and  build the relationships that can keep them connected to the church all the days  of their lives.

The St. Paul Scholarship recognizes and rewards the beautiful work  of building the church. These efforts expand the reach of the church through their ministries. The recipients of this scholarship are actively involved in their church and connecting the school to their ministries.
